Chris Jones releases 3 Song Acoustic EP!

Thumper Punk Records announced the release of Chris Jones’ contribution to the 3 Song Acoustic EP series on November 21, 2017.   A snippet from the press release is below.  But Chris’ contribution has been so much more.  His band Call to Glory ministered to the Orange County punk rock scene in a way that had been missing for many years.  CTG’s album “The Truth The Blood The Glory” is stylistically punk, blues, country and rockabilly (think Social Distortion, Johnny Cash plus the Ramones).  Like many of their OC punk counterparts, band members had their troubles with addiction, drugs, violence and jail (read more HERE).   But instead of glorifying that false lifestyle of despair, their lyrical theme spoke of hope, encouragement and praise of their savior Jesus Christ.   “The Truth The Blood The Glory” is on a very short list of favorite albums regardless of genre (and top 3 for C-punk).

His 3 Song Acoustic press release includes:   “As the leader of Orange County, California, punk bands Call to Glory (RIP) and currently The Heroes (formerly Bar Room Heroes), Chris’s music is best described as “greasy rock-n-roll for Jesus”.  His 3 Song Acoustic EP blends punk, rock & roll, rockabilly, and a bit of country into three amazingly heartfelt songs from the tattooed Deacon.  Tracks include:

1.            Amazing Grace (Outlaw(
2.            Rain Down
3.            Diamonds and Gold”
